.Net Magazine Design Challenge

What a month I've had! In fact, everything seemed to happen in the same week - I got published in .Net Magazine, I got a sponsor for my bear which was also featured in the Birmingham Mail, and... I can't believe I'm writing this, but... I WON A D&AD NEW BLOOD PENCIL! Eek!

I'll have to properly write up about each of these another day, but for now, I'll share my .Net Magazine article.

Each month, .Net challenges 3 Designers to design a website that answers a set brief. This month, it was for a community centre, and my design was published!

I created a website for a fictional community centre for the creative quarter in Birmingham, which I named the 'Digbeth Hub'. I focussed on bright colours to represent the street art that Digbeth is infamous for, as well as using a flexible grid layout which incorporates various content blocks and makes a feature of their social channels, making the hub accessible to all.

To be honest, I just still can't believe my ugly mug made it into print.
