Alright, bab?

My name is Megan Egan – some people think that rhymes – and if you’re one of those people you’re pronouncing it wrong. Oh so wrong. But I do like how it rolls off the tongue.

Right, now for the business bit.

I’m one of those people who runs head-first into things with reckless abandon. I like to dream big and figure out the rest along the way. A real ‘sleeves rolled up, nothing is impossible’ kind of mentality – and it’s worked pretty well for me so far.

Never the one to take the traditional path, I skipped uni and started out as a design apprentice instead. I prefer getting my hands dirty anyway. After a few years graft working as a graphic designer I found myself winning a spot on the D&AD Academy, where my mind was opened to all the wondrous creative career possibilities for the first time. As I stood there with wide-eyed wonder looking at all the potential career paths that were laid out before me, I chose advertising. Go figure.

Over the past 8 years I’ve been honing my craft working in the London advertising bubble. That was until 2024, when I decided to up sticks and move to the southern hemisphere.

Currently, I’m thinking of ideas and driving people mad trying to make them happen at Howatson+Company in Sydney.

When I’m not selling things for brands I’m selling my own t-shirts, drawing pretty pictures or bragging about my cold water swimming. Hey, did I mention I swim in like, really cold water?
